Although they’re not as widely used since the invention of social networks, free email valiantly struggles on. The big names are still out there and when signing up for an account there are three main players that we find ourselves choosing from – Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo!
They all provide access to free email, so does it really matter whether one has more extra features than the others? Not really, but it’s still nice to finally know which is number one and when you find yourself in a situation where someone is putting down your beloved email choice and claiming to have the best (admittedly not a situation that we regularly find ourselves in) you can hold your head up high and tell them you know better.
Hotmail’s free features
Safety - A safety bar showing three different colours red (fraudulent), white (known person) and yellow (unknown person). A spam protection allowing the user to block future messages from any sender. Virus scans of incoming messages and of course the standard junk mail.
